MAXIPROJECTS • Your information

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 22 October 2026

This policy explains how Maxi Projects (Pty) Ltd, trading as MaxiProjects, handles personal information when you visit our website, request a quote, submit a Facebook or Instagram lead form, or contact our team.

1. Who is responsible for your information?

Maxi Projects (Pty) Ltd is the responsible party for the information we collect for our business enquiries and customer services. Privacy requests can be directed to our team at info@maxiprojects.co.za or 021 910 0962, marked for the attention of the Information Officer.

Workshop: Unit 3, 45 Gemini Street, Brackenfell, Cape Town, South Africa, 7560.

2. What we collect and where it comes from

We collect the information you provide, such as your name, email address, telephone number, suburb or installation address, products of interest, project requirements, measurements, photographs and correspondence. If you become a customer, we may also need billing, delivery and transaction details.

Information comes directly from you through our website forms, phone calls, email, WhatsApp and social media, or from a person you authorise to enquire on your behalf. Facebook and Instagram lead forms may prefill contact details from your profile; please review them before submitting.

Our website and its service providers may also receive technical information such as your IP address, browser and device information, pages visited, referral source and advertising identifiers.

3. How we use your information

We use information to respond to enquiries, discuss product options, assess service locations, prepare quotes, arrange site visits and installations, manage orders and payments, provide after-sales support, maintain business records and meet legal obligations. Technical information helps operate and protect the website and measure advertising performance.

Depending on the purpose, processing is based on your consent, steps towards or performance of a contract, legal obligations, or legitimate interests permitted by the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

Providing an enquiry is voluntary. Fields marked as required are needed to submit the relevant form. Without sufficient contact or project details, we may be unable to respond or prepare a quote. Please avoid sending identity documents, payment-card details or other sensitive information through an enquiry form.

4. Facebook and Instagram enquiries

When you submit a MaxiProjects lead form on Facebook or Instagram, Meta makes the submitted details available to us. Our team uses them to follow up on your enquiry by phone, email or, where appropriate, WhatsApp and to arrange a quote. Meta also processes information under its own Privacy Policy.

Requesting a quote does not automatically subscribe you to unrelated promotional messages. Any separate electronic direct marketing must have the consent or other basis required by POPIA. You can ask us to stop marketing at any time using the contact details above or the opt-out method in the message.

5. Who may receive your information?

Information may be accessed by team members and service providers who need it to handle your enquiry or deliver the requested work. These may include installation contractors, relevant suppliers, hosting and IT providers, email and communications providers, professional advisers and payment providers where applicable. Website enquiries are processed through Formspree. Google provides advertising measurement services, and Meta processes social media lead forms.

Sharing must be limited to the relevant purpose and subject to appropriate confidentiality and data protection requirements. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal rights. This policy does not authorise the sale of your contact details or their use by another business for unrelated marketing.

6. Cookies and advertising measurement

The website uses a Google tag for Google Ads measurement. Google and other website service providers may use cookies or similar technologies to understand visits, associate enquiries with adverts and measure campaign results. External image hosting also receives technical information when images load.

You can manage or delete cookies in your browser and adjust advertising preferences through Google My Ad Center. Blocking cookies may affect some functionality or measurement. Read how Google uses information from partner sites. This policy is an explanation of processing, not a blanket consent to optional tracking.

7. Storage, security and overseas processing

We aim to retain information only for as long as needed for the enquiry, customer relationship, warranty or support requirements, lawful recordkeeping and dispute resolution. Records that no longer have a lawful purpose should be securely deleted or de-identified.

We are responsible for applying reasonable technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the information, including limiting access to authorised people. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Cloud, communications and advertising providers may process information outside South Africa. Any transfer by us must meet POPIA’s requirements, for example through adequate legal or contractual protection or another permitted basis.

8. Your choices and rights

Subject to applicable legal requirements, you may request access to your information, correction of inaccurate details, or deletion of information we are no longer entitled to keep. You may object to processing where POPIA allows, withdraw consent for processing that relies on consent, and opt out of direct marketing. Withdrawing consent does not affect prior lawful processing or records we must lawfully retain.

Email info@maxiprojects.co.za with your request. We may need to verify your identity before releasing or changing personal information.

You may lodge a complaint with South Africa’s Information Regulator at POPIAComplaints@inforegulator.org.za, telephone 010 023 5200, or through the Regulator’s complaints page. Address: Woodmead North Office Park, 54 Maxwell Drive, Woodmead, Johannesburg, 2191.

9. Updates to this policy

We may update this policy when our services, processing practices or legal requirements change. The latest version will be published here with its update date.
